Smithsonian 3D Scans Its Collection

The Smithsonian is the largest museum complex in the world, with more than 137 million objects. In an ever-expanding mission to share these historical items with the public, there is a project underway to make 3D scans of museum artifacts, making these data available to researchers and the general public.
