In Response to Swartz Death, Researchers Post Info Online for Free

Houston Chronicle: "The suicide of hacker and digital activist Aaron Swartz has prompted academics from around the globe to post their research online for free, and led the university involved in Swartz's prosecution to launch an investigation into its own role in events leading to his death."

Information itself, the basis of knowledge, must be free. It's fair to charge for school, training, books, etc., but access to the underlying information should be free. A functional modern democracy demands it.
